Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department calls second alarm on warehouse fire

JFRD responded to a commercial building structure fire in the middle of the day that happened to be in a large warehouse. Initial reports on scene were of smoke showing, but it was clear that there was heavy fire concealed in this large structure.

A second alarm assignment was quickly called for. Access to the seat of this fire was somewhat tricky as the fire was being pushed back and forth from front to back because of a divider wall along with mounds of cardboard box piles that allowed the fire to continue to flair up.

With reports of all occupants out of the structure, caution was taken with the crews to maintain their safety.

We are happy to report that there were no injuries as a result of this fire.
