Eyeballed By Old Stag Up Close Roar 2025

This old stag took a bit of encouraging to get to come through the caprosmas inbetween us. I could hear him bashing a bush for a while. It looks like he didn't know quite what to do. It was first to blink. I was crouching down in the open at about fifteen metres and maybe he couldn't really figure out what I was. Every time he looked away I expected him to bolt. I had been trying to video a small stag around from him when he joined in and I walked up to him.

There has been a lot of comment about the age of this stag. I went back and had a look at this stag from the 2020 roar. He is old but not as big in the body as this year's stag.
