➡️ You guys asked me to keep the "ska train" running, so here we are! Goldfinger are apparently another band I missed growing up, and my first time hearing their hit single "Here In Your Bedroom" was filled with musical surprises. I'm enamored with their songwriting style of jumping in and out of key changes, which made for a fresh listening experience. No song section felt like "home base", and really kept my ears on their toes. I discuss the great bass line development, how bassist Simon Williams morphed a classic walking bass line progression into a funky groove on steroids, the beautiful production choices throughout the track, how the chord progression CONSTANTLY cycles through the circle of fifths, and much more! 🤘🏼😬🤘🏼
