My Timeline of Events
August 4, 2022 - I submitted EPIK application
August 12, 2022 - I put in my request to apostille my Criminal Record Check (did my CRC the same day) and University Diploma with Monument Visa. DO THIS EARLY! The process can take weeks and I got mine back on September 28th. You need these documents ready to mail out a few weeks after EPIK informs you of a successful interview so put in your request as soon as you can.
September 5, 2022 - EPIK requests to interview me
September 7, 2022 - Interview with EPIK coordinator
September 11, 2022 - EPIK notifies me of my successful interview (now it is time to submit additional docs for final consideration - Required Documents Guide Video)
September 28, 2022 - Finally receive Apostilled CRC + Diploma from Monument Visa
September 30, 2022 - I mail my required documents to EPIK in Korea using UPS
October 4, 2022 - EPIK coordinator notifies me they received my required documents
November 23, 2022 - EPIK notified me that I secured a position with EPIK for the Spring of 2023, and was offered a position in the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education.
November 27, 2022 - I accepted EPIK offer
November 30, 2022 - EPIK sends important documents necessary to apply for E-2-2 visa
December 9, 2022 - Submit Visa Application via mail to Korean Consulate in NYC
December 23, 2022 - Obtain Visa digitally (let your coordinator know)
January 9th, 2023 - EPIK sends out info about flight arrival dates and times
January 18th, 2023 - Purchased my flight and sent flight itinerary info to EPIK + EPIK sends further information about the orientation venue
February 20th, 2023 - Fly out to Seoul, South Korea!!
