The Gauteng Provincial Government will host the Sedibeng SMME Conference on Tuesday, 26 October 2021 at the Vereeniging City Hall.
The event forms part of the Gauteng Provincial Government’s efforts to ensure the meaningful participations of SMMEs in high growth value chains.
The Gauteng provincial government has identified the Southern Development Corridor in Gauteng (Sedibeng District), which comprises Emfuleni, Lesedi and Midvaal Local Municipalities, as a critical industrial development node. The Vaal Special Economic Zones (SEZ), which will include the construction of a new Vaal River City, is expected to unlock private sector investment, particularly in high growth sectors. These developments create opportunities for SMME participation, and the conference will present these developments as well SMME options for financial and non financial support.
