Banjo-Kazooie - Mad Monster Mansion - 100% Speed Run -

This is a speed run through Mad Monster Mansion from Banjo-Kazooie. This was played on the Nintendo 64 console.

This is one of my favorite levels in the game. I really like the level layout and the atmosphere that it has. It has cool music too. The pumpkin is also my favorite transformation in the game.

The run went very well overall. There were the standard small mistakes. I badly butchered 1 of the pots that you need to shoot eggs into, but at least the rest went well. A lot of small things can go wrong here and ruin a run entirely. It doesn't help that this level is the 3rd to last level in the game and it takes quite some time to get back this far in the game.

The organ part with Motzand is a really fun part too. It took a little bit of practice memorizing the 15 notes that he plays, but the pattern kind of repeats, making it pretty manageable. Overall, it was probably my favorite level to play, despite the fact that I've only had about 3 or 4 total runs through this stage. I actually did have a run here that would have been around 5 seconds faster but upon entering Mumbo's Hut, his transformation failed and he had to re-do the whole thing. It ended up costing me somewhere around 10 seconds.
