During a routine patrol along the Matinagar border road today, security personnel successfully seized a significant cache of abandoned and unclaimed contraband, consisting of 26 kg of dry ganja and 105 bottles of ESKUF cough syrup. The recovered illegal items, estimated to have a destination market value of approximately ₹4.5 lakh, were secured after all legal formalities were completed. Following the seizure, Sonamura Police Station registered a case and initiated an investigation to trace the smugglers and determine the owner of the narcotics, prompting authorities to intensify vigilance in the border area to prevent further attempts.
