This video shows how I replaced my ignition switch/tumbler and blinker switch assembly on my 1988 Ford E250, which for the most part, will be identical to many Fords, Lincolns, and Mercurys from the late 70's and through the 80's. I know my '77 T-bird had the same setup as this, so it was a common steering wheel design for over a dozen years.
This pertains to the "tilt-wheel" version of the steering column, but with some minor exceptions that you can ignore, this video could apply quite similarly to the non-adjustable version of Motorcraft columns.
