Steps to Apply for a Passport

1.Register Online

Visit the official Passport Seva Portal

Create an account with your email ID and set a login password.

2.Fill the Application Form

Log in and select “Apply for Fresh Passport / Reissue of Passport.”

Fill in personal details such as name, date of birth, address, and employment details.

3.Submit the Application & Pay Fee

Review your application.

Pay the application fee online (varies by passport type: normal or tatkal).

4.Schedule an Appointment

5.Visit Passport Seva Kendra (PSK)

Carry the printed application receipt (with ARN).

At PSK: complete document verification, photo capture, and biometrics (fingerprints).

6.Police Verification

A local police officer will verify your address and details.

Cooperate by providing required documents at the time of verification.
