Paddy Crerand adds twist to tribute by George Best's sister Barbara

“Did you watch that crap last night?“ Paddy fumed in a blisteringly honest assessment of Manchester United’s 4-3 defeat at Bayern Munich.His put down of United’s recent struggles struck an appreciative chord with our legacy fans at the George Best Tribute evening when he was called on stage to deliver a eulogy lovingly written by George’s sister Barbara.

“There was more fat on a chip,” read Paddy who added his own twist to the loving tribute with a series of incisive comments that were vintage PC.

In the wonderful word of the Manchester United hero who played with Best, Law, Charlton and the other stars of the sixties, there is no room for being politically correct.In a world that is definitely a 100% woke-free zone PC stands for Paddy Crerand. And his fans absolutely love him.

Adding a typically colourful insight into his time on an ITV World Cup panel, Paddy recalled his reaction when Pele talked about George literally being The Best he had seen.“Pele could not stop speaking about George Best and ability George Best had, and i was looking at him saying: You’re bloody Pele. Bloody Pele and you’re talking about George Best as if he was some God from somewhere.”
