The MANG Verbs | To FISH and To HUNT (E90)

In this video, I tackle the MANG~ verbs. In most of my previous videos, the verbs that I have discussed have no version with the MANG~ prefix. This time, I am introducing two MANG~ verbs, which I suspect to be the two of the oldest Tagalog verbs—MANGISDA (to fish) and MANGASO (to hunt)—two of the most basic actions in human evolution.

Some of the simple sentences used in this video are:
• Mangáso ka! (You) Go hunting!
• Mangáso ka sa gubat (You) Go hunting in the jungle (or forest)
• Mangáso tayo bukas Let’s go hunting tomorrow
• Mangáso kayo ng maaga (You all) Go hunting early

• Mangisdá ka (You) Go fishing! Or (You) Go catch fish!
• Mangisdá ka sa dagat (You) Go fishing in the sea (or ocean)
• Mangisdá tayo sa ilog Let’s go fishing in the river
• Mangisdá kayo ng maaga buksas (You all) Go fishing early tomorrow
