A crazy series of miraculous events!

That's a day I'm not soon to forget! To hear that Scott had gone off the steep edge was unthinkable! Then to find that his bike had hung up on the edge of a cliff, after having slid approximately 100 feet down a steep slope of loose dirt and rock, was itself miraculous. Minutes later a very capable looking Toyota Tacoma was spotted coming up the road towards us. As it got closer we could see that it did have a winch. Gary came back with some straps and just like that, we had everything we needed for a recovery. Wow! One unfortunate event that was followed by a series very fortunate events. Just Wow! To top it all off, Scott wasn't hurt, the bike was fine, and we were on our way as if nothing had happened...

I've never pushed myself so hard in my entire life as when on these (always epic) ADV trips with Gary and his friends (who have become friends). When you're just learning, trying to keep up with more advanced riders, you'll have no choice but to overcome some very challenging situations. Luckily, it's easier to find the courage knowing you have an awesome group of guys to back you up. Everyone works together to overcome difficult sections then, we enjoy reliving the adventure around the campfire before sleeping under the stars. The best of times!
