Title: Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy: the role of the brain and exercise as a potential treatment
This webinar reviewed research on neuropathy: a common and sometimes severe and dose-limiting side-effect of chemotherapy agents used for treating cholangiocarcinoma (e.g., oxaliplatin, cisplatin). Because there are limited treatments for chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy, research has focused on (1) how neuropathy develops from chemotherapy and (2) promising yet unproven interventions such as exercise.
