We traveled 1.5 hours from Addis Ababa to visit Kuriftu Waterpark in Ethiopia, expecting a full day of fun — and what we experienced was very different from what we imagined.
In this video, we share our honest experience at Kuriftu Waterpark, including what worked, what didn’t, and whether it’s actually worth the trip. One of the slides was under maintenance and the park was smaller than expected — but instead of letting that ruin the day, we decided to make the most of it.
On our way back, we had one of the best travel moments of our Ethiopia journey:
we connected with locals, ate fresh fish at a local restaurant near the water, took a small boat ride on the lake, spotted huge free-living birds, and traveled back to Addis like locals by tuk-tuk and van.
