After a clay turning workshop, I fell in love with the material—because apparently, I needed another hobby. My maker's brain immediately started wondering: could I combine my existing skills with this ancient craft? After some deep scrolling (and resisting the urge to buy unnecessary tools), I discovered slipcasting. Many failed attempts, a few existential crises, and a lot of clay-covered surfaces later... I finally made my own mug!
This reel takes you through all the steps—from 3D printing a slipcasting mold to holding a finished ceramic mug. Spoiler: It wasn’t as easy as the internet made it look.
