Summer Health Bummers - Treating Insect Bites and Stings | Insect Sting First Aid

Though they’re tiny, mostly innocent and terrified of humans, one of the most annoying things about summer is insects ruining the fun – you wouldn’t think they’re that much of a problem, but the amount of patients I see with bites and stings every summer is surprisingly high.

On the beach, in the park, at a barbecue, these pests are fairly unavoidable, but there are steps you can take to be prepared in the event one gets you!

Though rarely dangerous, with symptoms such as intense itchiness, redness and swelling, it can definitely be helpful to identify which insect has bitten you, the specific home remedies that can help each bite or sting, and also when to seek professional medical help – all of which I cover in this video.
