My milling machine's old Anilam Wizard 150plus DRO broke down and I replaced it with a LCD display, Ditron D80-4V. I hooked the old scales by replacing the connectors, there is a pin out table in the video for this, it should work for old AcuRite scales too.
There is some fooling around with the display, not a review, but you can get much useful data, if you are considering buying one.
I added a quill scale to the system and a rotary encoder to my dividing head.
