Monday Night is Elephant Night at Djuma Cam 1/26/26

This is the oldest nature cam in the world. It’s been broadcasting LIVE from this spot since 1998. With some luck you might see big cats or a herd of elephant coming for a drink. You can also expect to see a lot of impala (light brown antelope), waterbuck (white circle on rump), nyala (males are darker with white stripes and have yellow legs while females are more orange white stripes on flanks) and many other types of mammals, birds and reptiles.The camera is remotely controlled by a volunteer corps of people around the world known as ‘zoomies’. They log into the camera according to a schedule in shifts, and pan, tilt and zoom in search of animals.

Chat Rules:

11 - Do not post personal info in to chat, like emails, numbers and platform contacts. This is an international channel and email and electronic information harvesting is on the rise and could be used against you. Be vigilant with personal information. This can result in various levels of security threats. We will not tolerate anyone engaging in activity that appears to lure people into such situations.
12 - Do not post about blocking other chatters, using the 3 dots or being blocked by a chatter as it makes the chat unwelcoming and unfriendly. Also avoid posts about nightbot activity or removal of posts, or other such actions in response to violations.
13 - Negative comments about Djuma, the lodges, workers, Djuma employees, the land owners and guests at the lodge being heard enjoying themselves over the dam cam audio will not be tolerated.
14 - Zoomies are currently not permitted to zoom intentionally on Rhinos. If you hear such animals, or one is accidently shown briefly on camera before the camera can be moved away, please do not talk about said rhino in the chat. We know this can be difficult and that you want to see and talk about these magnificent animals. We have this policy to protect these highly endangered animals. There is also an Anti-Poaching Team that is occasionally seen driving at night on the Reserve. Please do not chat about the location of said patrols if they are seen.

*Violations of these rules will be met with consequences depending on the nature of the violation and history of violations. Removal of post, Warning in Chat, Time Out ranging from 1 minute to several days, depending on the situation. Blatant disrespect, intentional, or repeated violations of the rules, may result in a chatter being banned from chat. The consequences may be imposed by Nightbot, Moderators, or Administrators of this Stream. These persons will not justify their actions in chat, and we ask that you not ask them to, pursuant to rule 12.
