Australia to vote in historic Indigenous Voice referendum

Australians are being asked to decide whether to amend their constitution in an historic referendum. The question? Whether or not to recognise the country's original inhabitants and establish a body to advise parliament on issues that concern the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population.

Some say 'The Voice' referendum is a symbolic gesture that won't offer real change if successful, others have campaigned that it's a 'once in a generation opportunity for recognition'.
Ahead of the historic vote, Indigenous activist and filmmaker Ben Abbatangelo, reports.
