LLMs for Data Science: Are they good enough? -- Ozan Evkaya (University of Edinburgh)
Recent advancements in generative AI, particularly models like ChatGPT, are transforming Data Science field. Certain capabilities of such Gen-AI tools on the data science or statistics related tasks have been recently assesses by various people to explore its pros and cons. This talk mainly examines the data analysis (DA) capabilities of ChatGPT, evaluating its performance across different tasks from the literature, such as data preparation, regression analysis, and data visualization. Besides, some details from the recent literature will be discussed by highlighting both the strengths and limitations of AI in handling complex data scenarios.
