~ Check-in Experience ~
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Frankfurt Alte Oper in October 2021. We arrived early at around 10am and were able to check-in. There was no queue or crowd in the lobby.

~ Room Experience ~
At 22 sqm, the room size is rather small but appears to be average for lead-in category rooms in Germany. The rooms have a simple but modern, pleasing design. Large windows afforded decent amounts of natural light. The hotel is rather low-rise and faces the main street so there isn't much of a view. The TV was also typically sized for hotels in Germany. The bathroom had a bathtub which was a plus but the shower was integrated with the bathtub and used a glass partition instead of a shower curtain which meant water often spilt onto the bathroom floor.

Pros:
Relatively short distance (10 mins walk) from the Frankfurt main train station and other attractions.
Modern, clean furnishing.
Comes with bathtub.
Low price for brand-name hotel in Frankfurt.

Cons:
Small 22 sqm room.
Small 32 inch TV.
Bathtub and shower are combined, which can be awkward.
