Speed queen SY180H 18KG commercial washer & new speed queen SUT30 stack gas dryer

Wash n dry SEASON 2 episode 3

Welcome back!

Today, we're washing some towels in a big speed queen SY180H 18KG high spin soft mount commercial washer and drying them in a speed queen SUT30 13KG stacked gas dryer.

On program 2, 30C° pre-wash & 60C° main wash, high 1000+ rpm final spin & high temp for the dryer at 21 minutes (3€ for drying, 12€ for 18KG wash).

Nice place, it's well maintained and new speed queen machines installed some years ago. Just the floors were very dirty today.

Also, a thing about this place is that it's named "ipso mat" while it has speed queen machines inside! Why?

Well, as I said they renovated to speed queen! This place was quite vintage before the renovation. They used to have ipso HC washer models and old A.D.C. stack dryers which were re branded to ipso. So it was named "IPSOMAT" since they used ipso machines! The ipsomat sign outside has just been there ever since though. Old ipso ironing roll machine has been there ever since and working until today, but now the ipso logo is covered with a speed queen sticker.

Unfortunately I do not have any pictures or videos before the renovation as that was many years ago. You can see some old photos of it on google maps though.

Though the speed queens there are now, are made by the company that also makes today's ipso machines, the Alliance Laundry Systems company.

Many brands are there today, being made with the exact same parts under different colours and name.

So I guess you can still call it an IPSOMAT laundrette :P
