LOST in the FOG! WINDY and RAINY SOLO Wild Camp in SNOWDONIA - The CARNEDDAU. CHARGED by a HORSE!

The Carneddau in Snowdonia, Wales include the largest contiguous areas of high ground (over 2,500 feet (760 m) or 3,000 feet (910 m) high) in Wales and England (although larger areas over 2,000 feet (610 m) are found in Northern England), as well as six or seven of the highest peaks in the country—the Fifteen Peaks. The range also encloses a number of lakes such as Llyn Cowlyd and Llyn Eigiau, and the Aber Falls waterfall.

In this video I hike to the base of Yr Elan in the Carneddau range as the fog starts to roll in! The 'horses' I witnesses are in fact Carneddau ponies - a breed of small Welsh Mountain ponies. In 2013, DNA identification revealed that they are a distinct, unique and ancient breed having been isolated in the Carneddau for centuries.
