Coreopsis, Balloon Flower and Garden Phlox - Three Flowering Perennials You NEED in Your Garden!!

In this video, we're taking a closer look into three classic perennials we offer here at Bountiful Gardens: Coreopsis, Balloon Flower and Garden Phlox! These plants are all beloved by pollinators and fill their own height, texture and color niches in your landscape. By the end of this video, you'll be ready to confidently add these perennials to your plant palette so you can enjoy them all summer long.

Coreopsis is a phenomenal genus of wildflowers. There are multiple species, including the Tall Tickseed, which can get up to 8 feet tall! Most varieties max out around three feet in height, and tend to stay relatively compact in their growing form. The standard colorations are yellow and red, but thanks to cultivation, you can find pinks, oranges, creams and more!

Balloon Flower is a fantastic low-growing perennial that makes and excellent border planting. Its flowers puff up into little balloons before bursting into bloom with blues, pinks and whites. These plants are also edible, and are commonly found in Korean food!

Garden Phlox is a staple in any English Cottage Garden. With its narrow growth, medium height, and soft panicles of colorful fragrant flowers, Garden Phlox is truly a no-brainer if you're looking to add a perennial to your garden. Let Joe and the team tell you more!!
