A cutback is a good entry level maneuver for most surfers to learn. To master it takes some time. There are different kinds of cutbacks, such as a normal cutback, a cutback with a kick or stomp at the end of the turn, a layback cutback and a figure 8 cutback, also known as a roundhouse.
We will be going through how to do a figure 8 / roundhouse cutback.
These cutbacks are very good and amazing when you get them down because it is a lot more technical. This is one movement that consists of 3 separate movements- 1. A normal cutback 2. A bottom turn 3. A snap/ rebound off the white water.
