Recorded and Digitalized off a pre-recorded DVD and under the series of games ive uploaded over the years 'Games Attended' back in the good ole days of attending Met games at Shea especially from the memorable 1986 season, and the original recording (wasn't recorded) the top of the 9th inning.
This game was also recently restored/remastered and making its debut on the Phenia Film MLB archival channel.
Original WOR-TV 9 Broadcast with Ralph Kiner, Tim McCarver and Steve Zabriskie and includes a quick into from NBC pre-game interview with Marc Albert and Davey Johnson.
Starting pitchers RHP Kelly Downs for Roger Craig's SF Giants and LHP Sid Fernandez for the NY Mets. Mets have a 2-0 lead after 5 innings but the Giants pick up a pair of runs in the 6th inning on a RBI Triple from 2B Robby Thompson and scores after a RBI single from LF Candy Maldonado tying the game at 2-2 removing Fernandez as Davey Johnson out brings in reliever RHP Roger McDowell to pitch the final 2 innings. Mets come up with 3 runs in the 8th on a 2-RBI single (and game winning) from 3B Howard Johnson off Giants middle reliever RHP Scott Garrelts
Tape ended in the top of the 9th so does the broadcast.
