The endoscopic endonasal approach constitutes an optimal method for the surgical management of pituitary microadenomas and macroadenomas, as well as other sellar and parasellar lesions, including Rathke’s cleft cysts and craniopharyngiomas.
Patients harboring pituitary tumors may present with visual impairment, visual field defects, or endocrine dysfunction. The pituitary gland serves as a pivotal component of the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, exerting regulatory control over numerous physiological systems throughout the body.
