Helping This Driver With a Shifted Load of Rebar (65 feet!) Another fun load shift job, with luckily no real damage to the tractor. Normally when these happen, it can cause catastrophic damage to the back of the cab, the air lines and even the driver. We got this job as a private request, and based on the description of the load I decided to bring my dad along with me.

I explain the reason why in the video, but in order to shift something this long back it required a truck on each end. You can kind of get away with just using one truck with strategic placement, but only if it's solid like pipes or steel beams. When it's bendable and easily manipulated like this rebar, you run into a lot of issues. A single truck does not have the spread needed to evenly pick up this 40,000lb load to gently shift it over 2 feet, so 2 trucks alleviates that issue.

Once it was shifted back, the driver adjusted his wood and he was on his merry way. All in all another fun job with the shredder aka big boss. What did everyone think of our team work? .
