CIS Ontario Student Visual Arts Festival 2017

On April 21st Trafalgar Castle School hosted the first Conference of Independent Schools (CIS) Ontario Student Visual Arts Festival. We were pleased to welcome Grade 10-12 visual arts students from over 8 independent schools across Ontario. Thank you to all staff, faculty and student volunteers who made the inaugural event a success!

The Festival focused on Canadian Identity and what it means to be part of Canadian culture in 2017. Studio workshops explored how that ties into student development as artists and their personal journey. The Festival allowed students to work alongside well-renowned Canadian artists in energizing workshops. They had the opportunity to develop their creative abilities, make connections with other visual arts students and expand their understanding of their personal journey and artistic voice.
