What do you do when catasetums go dormant and how do you handle catasetum dormancy? This video will share some tips on how to take care of your catasetums from the fall to winter season. Catasetums are deciduous orchids and they lose their leaves in the fall. During this time is when we reduce watering and prepare the plant for rest.
These unique orchids can have up to a 6 month rest or dormancy period where they can be stored like tulip bulbs. There are a couple of things to watch out for during the dormant season, so keep watching to find out!
If you do something different during dormancy, let me know in the comments below!
