Dysfunctional 7 is an imitation of a non-existing 7-inch vinyl record. 7-inch records are maybe the coolest thing in punk or noise music, where there is just enough intensity to squeeze into a small piece of vinyl, where each song is played with enough commitment so that it seems like this is the only song to ever matter. This piece is an imaginary arrangement of some non existing noise band, awkwardly put as a piano score, therefore sometimes not exactly playable. It should be played as closely to the text as possible, but very messy, hoping to get somewhere around 90 b.p.m. It should be played as loud as possible, except for a few beats indicated with mp. Each page is a separate track of the imaginary record. The piece should be performed on an iPad, with page-turning as quiet as possible. Between each page, there should be somewhere between three and nine seconds of silence, and each new track should appear random enough.
