The Temptations - Check Yourself (62nd Anniversary)

Today I'm bringing a little something special to you! 62 years ago today, The Temptations released their second single, "Check Yourself." The song was written by Motown founder Berry Gordy, along with Temptations co-founders Elbridge Bryant, Melvin Franklin and Otis Williams.

I love this early song because you have the opening by tenor, Otis, bass by Melvin and lead vocals of the master baritone himself, Paul Williams! Gives you a little something different than the normal songs.

Fun fact, this was the second and final song on the Motown sub label Miracle Records, which was closed due to poor sales of any artists on the label.
