Hola Mohalla is a grand Sikh festival celebrated annually at Shri Anandpur Sahib in Punjab. It was initiated by Guru Gobind Singh Ji in 1701 as a day of martial demonstrations, poetry, and spiritual gatherings. The festival occurs during the spring festival of Holi, but instead of playful color-throwing, it showcases the valor and discipline of the Sikh warriors, the Nihangs.

For three days, the town of Anandpur Sahib transforms into a vibrant hub of Sikh culture, faith, and martial arts. Nihang Sikhs, dressed in traditional blue attire and adorned with weapons, perform breathtaking displays of horse riding, sword fighting, archery, and mock battles, reviving the spirit of the Khalsa. The festival also includes kirtan (devotional singing), katha (spiritual discourses), and langar (community kitchens) serving free meals to thousands of devotees.

A grand procession, led by Nihangs on horseback, moves through the streets, exhibiting their martial prowess and unwavering faith. Pilgrims from all over the world visit Anandpur Sahib during Hola Mohalla to seek blessings and witness this magnificent spectacle. The event embodies the Sikh principles of courage, selflessness, and unity, keeping the martial traditions of the Khalsa alive.
