Is A Re-Ring Overhaul Good Enough For This Small Block Chevy???

This trusty old 350 was just sitting on the shop floor, minding its own business when we decided to put it to use — the perfect “good enough” motor to toss in the K10 while we messed with the original engine. The plan? Quick refresh. Bearings, rings, slap it together, done. Truck’s running. Easy peasy.
Turns out the “good enough” block might be a better platform than we thought. This old 350 came out of a ’9C1’ cop car — which means factory roller motor.
And now we’re stuck in that classic budget-builder trap: stick with the cheap and easy overhaul or see if we can sneak some extra rupees out of Kaylin’s purse, tack some time onto the schedule, and get this thing to a machine shop and go full rebuild?
If you like budget builds, old iron, and seeing what’s possible with a little patience, some elbow grease, and a touch of questionable decision-making — this one’s for you.
