A New Friend

One day, Sarah went to the park to relax. She loved walking by the lake and watching the ducks. As she sat on a bench, she noticed a dog sitting near her. The dog looked lonely and a little scared. Sarah was surprised because the dog wasn’t with anyone.

"Are you lost?" Sarah asked softly, hoping not to scare the dog. The dog wagged its tail and looked up at her with big, brown eyes.

Sarah got up and carefully approached the dog. She saw that it didn’t have a collar, so she decided to help. She checked around the park, but there was no one looking for the dog. Sarah felt sorry for the dog, and she didn’t want it to be alone.

She took the dog home and gave it some food and water. The dog seemed happy and comfortable. Sarah decided to keep the dog until she could find its owner. She named the dog Max.

A few days later, Sarah put a sign in the park with Max’s picture. The next day, a woman came and said, "That’s my dog! I’ve been looking for him everywhere!" Sarah was happy to return Max to his owner. She felt good knowing she had helped.

The woman thanked Sarah, and they agreed to meet in the park sometimes to let Max play with his new friend. From that day on, Sarah had a new friend, not only in Max but also in his owner.
