Homemade via ferrata fall Shock Absorption System with Kong Kisa plate dissipator

Homemade via Ferrata fall Shock Absorption System with Kong Kisa plate. The video focuses on the creation of a via Ferrata kit similar to those produced in the series. The rope in the video is not the one that will be used. The rope used will have a diameter of 10.5mm or 11mm. The rubber bands that close the plastic bag will be replaced by 2 turns of adhesive tape.

2 Orange Ferrata carabiners (For the nodes, watch the video link in the description:    • Combined knot to connect the rope to a via...   ) 33Kn - 12Kn.

The green carabiner will be connected directly to the Kong Kisa shock absorber (6 holes) through a small hole in the plastic bag and will hook onto the climbing harness. Despite being metal to metal, as the harness is mobile there will be no stress exceeding 12Kn.
The termination of the Shock Absorber Kong Kisa must have at least 1.5m of free rope. Kong recommends tying a knot at the end so that the rope does not come out when it reaches the extreme tip in case of a very violent fall. For safety, I recommend attaching it to another carabiner (the blue carabiner) which will be connected to the harness service ring.

La corda nel video non è quella che verrà utilizzata. La corda utilizzata avrà un diametro di 10.5mm o 11mm. Gli elastici che chiudono la borsa di plastica saranno sostituiti da 2 giri di nastro adesivo.

Il moschettone verde sarà collegato direttamente allo shock absorber Kong Kisa (6 fori) attraverso un piccolo buco nella busta di plastica e si aggancerà all'imbracatura da arrampicata. Nonostante sia metallo con metallo, poichè l'imbracatura è mobile non ci saranno sollecitazioni superiori a 12Kn.
La terminazione dello Shock Absorber Kong Kisa dovrà avere almeno 1,5m di corda libera. Kong consiglia di fare un nodo all'estremità in modo che la corda non esca al raggiungimento della punta estrema in caso di caduta molto violenta. Io per sicurezza consiglio di agganciarla ad un altro moschettone (il moschettone blu) che sarà collegato all'anello di servizio dell'imbracatura.
