Gudakesha word has been used for one who has conquered sleep or who is master of one’s sleep. A Gudakesha is a person who is not bound by sleep. The deeper meaning is, awareness and sleep, the Turiya avastha in less time getting more and more energy. It is better than sleeping. Ramana Maharshi said that everyone in deep sleep gets the ultimate bliss (Brahmananda) but because we are not aware of it we are missing it.
