Some coins are so rare they belong in museums — yet a handful are appearing on the market. In this video, we explore an exclusive hand-curated selection of European and Chinese rarities being offered by the largest auction house in America.
Highlights include the Elizabeth I Ship Ryal, a gold rarity showing the Queen aboard her vessel, a James I 30 Shillings hammered coin, multiple Republican-era Chinese gold patterns, a Soviet provincial issue in Mint State, an ex-Edward Kann Three Channels Dollar, and a Specimen 67 Kwangtung Pattern Dollar.
The showcase concludes with two once-in-a-lifetime pieces: a unique Gold Junk Dollar, possibly the only example in existence, and the legendary Mukden Tiger Dollar, one of the rarest issues in all of Chinese numismatics. Together, these coins are valued between $6–9 million, with some never to be seen in private hands again.
If you love world coins, Chinese patterns, hammered gold, and ultra-rare museum-quality pieces, this breakdown is a must-watch.
Big thanks to Thomas Rebeiro and Kyle Johnson from Heritage Auctions for the Private Viewing
