The rainbow, in both this song and the week’s parsha, shines as a beacon of hope and promise after the storm. When Somewhere Over the Rainbow first appeared in 1939, it dreamed of a brighter tomorrow in an uncertain world.
Decades later, its message still resonates. In our own turbulent times, imagining a better world can feel impossible. And yet, when music and imagination meet, our souls can be moved not only to pray for that world, but to build it together.
