I’m starting a new thing called “Patch from Scratch.” (I later realized that I accidentally stole this title from Make Noise, so I'd credit to them for the awesome synth and for the title). I’m going to share some of the extra odd aspects of modular synthesis through individual patches, uninterrupted by human sounds. Each video in this series will start with a blank slate, just an untouched modular (or semi-modular) synth and a pile of patch cables off-screen.
I hope for this to be an exploratory look at the weirdness of modular in real time. Some of the sounds may be surprising or loud or scratchy, so prepare yourself. Let me know what you think and of what you’d like to see more.
