Patients with visual impairments can present challenges when trying to ensure the safe provision of care. This is the second program in a new edition of a three-part series on Caring for Patients With Special Needs. This program identifies common symptoms and causes of vision loss. It also demonstrates and describes practical strategies for teaching visually impaired individuals, and assisting them adapt to new environments.
