Indian Railways uses both types of traction and even though most of the trunk routes were electrified long back and IR continues to aggressively go ahead with electrification but at the same time diesel locos are being produced in large numbers resulting in many trains running with such power on electrified routes .
The trains are running very late due to heavy fog in norther parts of India especially the trains originating from New Delhi / Hazrat Nizammudin .
The red coaches seen are called LHB coaches which are used on premier trains and are now being provided for regular trains as well . Hope you guys noticed the yellow liveried Double decker express generator car on both rakes of Gorakhpur - LTT - GKP Kushinagar express .
