Hey guys — we're The Fold! It's funny to say it, but we’re one of the O.G. YouTube channels (we're talkin' 2006!!!!) and the honest truth is, we kinda got here by accident...

Nearly two decades ago, we were a band with zero control over our YouTube because our label (at the time) had it on lockdown. Somewhere around ’09 we went independent, ditched the traditional record label plan, unshackeled our YouTube channel from the powers that be, and had some fun recording a parody/cover of a Miley Cyrus song called “Every Band in the USA” which got us 300,000 views in JUST A FEW DAYS! We quickly realized what a powerful place YouTube can be!

Then... Record scratch ...NINJAGO HAPPENED!

From that point on, this channel truly took on a life of its own. Our Foldjas started to read into things about the music and the show that showed us we had truly found our homebase. So we really leaned into that. That’s where the “lore” started. Since about 2012 or so, we’ve really had fun creating content that had riddles and little puzzles to unlock, put an easter egg here, something for them to connect back to something else.

So here we are, in 2024, creating our very first CHANNEL TRAILER. LOL!!!!!

Who is The Fold? Not only is this band responsible for the massively popular LEGO Ninjago theme song "The Weekend Whip", but a brand at the top of their game in 2024! Starting out on Tooth & Nail Records, the group spun a failed 2009 album tour into a comical commentary on the current state of the music business with it’s viral smash hit “Every Band in the USA.” (YouTube). From then on, the band decided to just be REAL w their fans. Having just surpassed 200,000 subscribers, they are very in tune with their niche fanbase, many of which discovered the band through their Lego Ninjago' hit entitled "The Weekend Whip", and are just discovering the bounty of music The Fold has built over these past two decades.
