In this video I’m playing the NES emulator on the M5Stack Tab5 using my fully custom I2C gamepad setup.
The controls are built from multiple M5Stack units connected through a PaHub v2.1:
Joystick2 → D-pad
Scroll Unit #1 → A button
Scroll Unit #2 → B button
I2C Keyboard → Start and Select
PaHub makes it possible to run several devices with the same I2C address by putting each one on a separate channel.
All modules work at the same time without conflicts.
This is just an early prototype, but it already works great with the NES emulator.
If you're interested in the code or details, I’ll post everything on my GitHub soon.
