My Ryobi ONE+ 18V Cordless Hybrid Whisper Series 7-1/2 in. Fan was making a loud grinding noise when turned on. At first, I tried WD-40, but the noise came back right away. After some research, I found out WD-40 isn’t a real lubricant, so I switched to 3-in-One oil.
In this video, I show how I:
Removed the 10 T10 screws on the back
Pulled off the fan blade (takes some effort)
Applied 3-in-One oil to the motor shaft
Now the fan runs smoothly and quietly again. If your Ryobi Whisper Fan is making noise, this easy DIY fix may help extend its life.
