In this video I build and paint the HobbyBoss 1/35 VK 601 — a little-known German prototype developed as part of early war armoured experimentation.

The VK 601 sits in that grey area between concept and combat vehicle, representing the transitional thinking that shaped later German armour. During this build I focus on clean construction, subtle weathering with acrylics this time, and a realistic finish that reflects its training status rather than a frontline vehicle.

This is part of the channel’s move toward covering forgotten, experimental, and prototype armoured vehicles, alongside the historical context behind their development.
