Large Brush Fire Sends Smoke Across Eastern Lycoming County

This was not an April Fool's joke!

Tones rang out for multiple stations to respond to a brush fire burning into the woods North of Pennsdale, PA on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

Brush 23 arrived on scene and confirmed dispatch, and as command was established, additional brush trucks and tankers were requested to respond to the scene.

I arrived just North of the fire, parking along Rabbittown Road and Pine Run Road and launched my drone. In this video, you'll get a feel of how big the fire was, how much smoke drifted to the Southeast towards Hughesville in the strong winds and the fire fighters battling the blaze on the ground.
