Our 2008 C6 Corvette rear hatch was not opening every time we pressed the button. Didn't matter whether we pressed the inside button, the outside button by the license plate, or used the key fob. We could hear the solenoid trying to work each time but it didn't always pop the back latch. We replaced the whole actuator unit. Part number 15220345. Now it works as normal
**special note: you will need a deep 10mm socket**
