In this episode, I share my story of leaving the Mormon Church. It's been a long journey of self discovery and gaining self awareness. I hope by sharing my story, it will help others who are looking for encouragement and hope in their own journey.

This is the most vulnerable thing I've ever done- sharing my story with the world. When you make the decision to leave, it feels as though your world is falling apart. I was caught in the battle of "things aren't adding up" and " just have faith."

My entire network was created in #mormonism, the way I lived life was dedicated to the religion and with that I realized how I was living my life in fear.

My identity mirrored what the church taught- how women should act, look and aspire to become. I no longer wanted to fit that mold because I realized that by staying in the faith, I had to be comfortable with not knowing who I truly was and what I was meant to do here.

I knew the cost of leaving the church would come with a heavy price. It came to the point in my life where I was ready for that undertaking.
My story isn't rare, it's actually quite common and comes with a lot of heartache. Many people who leave don't have a lot of resources and I wanted to change that. You can decide to leave a high demand religion and find peace after. I am living proof of that!
