Cardiff is the capital of Wales.
Standing majestically in the heart of the city, Cardiff Castle was once a Roman fort, then repurposed by the Normans, and was transformed into a luxurious palace by the Bute family during the Victorian era, and its interiors can still be seen. Bute Park, which stretches out behind the castle, is a place of relaxation for people.
There are several train stations surrounding the city, so the access to Cardiff University, Town Centre and the Bay Area are good.
The Town Centre accommodates modern shopping areas as well as many beautiful Victorian arcades, where you can browse for souvenirs in specialty shops or take a break in a café.
The square at Bay Area, which commemorates Cardiff-born Norwegian writer Roald Dahl, hosts markets and events.
